Our Path to Matriarchal Living with Ellee Best and Brittany Loeser
What does it look like to build a life rooted in stewardship instead of ownership? In this episode, we share the evolution of our platonic life partnership, from navigating spiritual awakenings and the dissolution of our marriages to co-creating a new way of living, working, and building community together. We explore the messy, transformative work of self-ownership, authentic communication, rupture and repair, and why building a new world starts with the work we do within ourselves. We also share the vision behind The Patriarchy Purge and how we're creating new models for matriarchal living, collective care, and deeper connection. The future we're dreaming of isn't something we wait for. It's something we practice together. When the Body Speaks: Building Self-Trust Through Embodied Intuition
What happens when your body knows the truth before your brain can catch up? In this episode, we explore how to recognize the subtle—and sometimes not-so-subtle—signals of your intuition, and how to start honoring them. From noticing trauma responses to understanding somatic cues, we dig into the art of self-trust and how to discern truth in a noisy world. We also dive into tools like astrology and human design to support your inner cartography, introduce the concept of "The Shimmer" (shoutout to Erick Godsey), and offer practices to help you reclaim your attention from the forces that drain it. 🔑 Timestamps 1:40 – Waking up to the body’s signals when we’re being inauthentic 7:10 – Trauma responses vs. intuition: learning the difference 19:50 – Authenticity, honesty, and reclaiming your inner authority 27:16 – Inner Cartography: astrology, human design & self-mapping 32:39 – The Shimmer: creative potential or energy drain? 43:01 – Conscious consumption: food, media, and reclaiming your attention 🌀 Journal Prompts What does my body feel like when I'm in alignment? What does my body feel like when I’m out of alignment? How do I feel after consuming different types of food, media, or digital content? Where is my attention being pulled? How can I reclaim it for creativity instead of consumption? ✨ Challenge of the Week Take one physical action to reclaim your attention and energy. Delete an app that drains you, put your phone in another room to focus, meditate (yes, really), or eat for clarity by choosing foods that nourish your intuition. Try it—and notice how it feels to own your focus instead of giving it away. 💻 Mentioned Resources Erick Godsey’s Shimmer Assessment Tool: https://shimmer.scoreapp.com/ Let us know what came up for you in this episode.
