प्रसिद्ध राजनितिज्ञ, प्रजातान्त्रिक समाजवादका चिन्तक एवं प्रयोक्ता वि.पी. कोइराला स्वतन्त्र रूपमा उत्कृष्ट साहित्य सिर्जना गरेर नेपाली वाङमयमा नयाँ चिन्तन, नयाँ आयाम, नयाँ परम्परा र शैली दिएर सदाका निम्ति अमर बनेका छन् । उपन्याससम्पादन तीन घुम्ती: यसमा नारीका तीन रुप प्रेमिका, पत्नि र आमा को चित्रण गरिएको छ । एउटी नारीको तीनवटा छुट्टा छट्टै निर्णय बाबु आमाको इच्छा विपरित प्रेम विवाह, पतिको अनुपस्थितिमा परपुरुषसग यौनत्रिप्ति र सन्तान प्राप्ति, पतिबाट अस्वीक्रित भएपछि छोरी लिएर एक्लै बस्ने निर्णय मा आधारित उपन्यास हो । यी तिनवटै निर्णयमा आफ्नो अस्तित्व जोगाउन एउटी नारीले गरेको संघर्षको कथा हो तीन घुम्ती । सुम्निमा: यो दुई भिन्न संस्कृतिको समन्वय,सम्मिस्रण गाथा हो । आर्य संस्कृतिमा आबद्ध सोमदत्त र पुलोमा पुत्रप्राप्तिका निम्ति शाष्त्रसम्मत अनुष्ठान अनुसार यौनसम्पर्क राख्छन् । तर प्रेमबिनाको जर्बजस्ती यौनमिलनले मात्र गर्भ नरहने बरु मानसकुण्ठा र विकृतिको विकास हुने तथ्य यसमा प्रस्ट पारिएको छ । पूजापाठ एवं आध्यात्मिक आचरणको परिपालन गर्ने आडम्बरद्वारा भौतिकतालाई विर्सन खोजियो भने सुख शान्ति मिल्दैन । स्वच्छन्द विचरण गर्ने किराँत पुत्री सुम्निमा सँधै खुशी देखिन्छे, आनन्दमा रमाउँछे । प्रेमले मानिसलाई शारिरीक रूपले टाढा भए तापनि मानसिक रूपले नजिकअनुभुत गराउँछ भन्ने यो उपन्यासको सार हो। सुम्निमा किराँत धर्मावलम्बीहरू द्वारा विवादमा ल्याइएको उपन्यास हो। सुम्निमा तथा पारोहाङ्ग किराँत धर्मका देवताहरू भएकाले उनीहरूलाई उपन्यासको पात्रको रूपमा प्रस्तुत गरी अपमान गरेको किराँत हरूको आरोप छ। नरेन्द्रदाइ: नरेन्द्रदाई एक मनोवैज्ञानिक उपन्यास हो । एउटा पुरुषका पत्नि र प्रेमिका दुई छुट्टा छुट्टै सम्बन्धका दुई स्त्रीहरु बीचको कथा हो । नायक नरेन्द्रलाई पत्नि गौरी र प्रेमिका मुनरियाले समान अधिकारसाथ सेवा गरेको र दुवैको आ आफ्ना ठाउँमा स्वतन्त्र अस्तित्व स्विकारिएको छ । पतिको प्रेम नपाए पनि पतिसेवामा अटल रहने आदर्श पत्नि र सामाजिक ग्रार्हस्थ सम्बन्धमा नअटाएर पनि प्रेम र सद्भावले गर्दा प्रेममा लीन रहने प्रेमिका - दुई भिन्न चरित्रका नारीको जीवन्त गाथा छ नरेन्द्र दाई उपन्यासमा । मोदिआइन : यो सानो आकारको तर महत्त्वपूर्ण उपन्यास हो । हजारौं वर्षअघिको महाभारतीय युद्धकथा यसको विषयवस्तु हो । त्यस युद्धमा लाखौं विधवा नारीको प्रेतात्मा प्रतिनिधि नारीका रूपमा मोदिआइन प्रस्तुत उपन्यासकी प्रमुख पात्रलाई विचित्रता साथ संयोजन गरिएको छ । युद्धको परित्याग र शान्ति स्थापना यसको सन्देश हो । अर्जुनलाई प्रेरित गरेर त्यत्रो युद्ध गराए कृष्णले तर आखिर सबैले छोडेर जानुप¥यो । त्यत्रो नरसंहारक युद्धको उपलब्धी के त ? वि.पी. को चिन्तन विश्लेषण यस उपन्यासमा प्रस्ट छ – युद्धत्याग अनि शान्ति स्थापना । हिटलर र यहुदी : जर्मन तानाशाह हिटलरले लाखौं निर्दोष यहुदीहरूलाई ग्याँस च्याम्बरमा थुनेर मारेको घटनाको आधारमा यो उपन्यास लेखिएको छ। कृष्ण र हिटलरलाई तुलनीय छटा देखाएर पूर्वीय मान्यतामै द्वन्द सृजना गरिएको छ र यो उपन्यासको नाम अनुसार ऐतिहासिक पृष्ठभूमिको झलकले भरिएको पनि छ । हिटलरले गरेको नरसंहार र युद्ध भयंकरता देखाएर यसमा पनि शान्ति मूल आधार हो भन्ने कुरा प्रस्ट पारिएको छ । बाबु, आमा र छोरा : यो प्रकाशनका दृष्टिले पनि अन्तिम उपन्यास हो । यसमा नाम अनुसार नै तीन पात्रहरूको सम्बन्धको चित्रण गरिएको छ । बडो विचित्र र नेपाली समाजमा नपच्ने खालको कथाश्रृङ्खला छ यसमा – आफ्नै छोराकी गर्भवती प्रेमिकासँग बाबुको दोश्रो बिहे भई बाबुकी पत्नीको स्थान लिनु । यस उपन्यासमा यी तीनवटै पात्रहरूको मानसद्वन्द र यौन मनोविश्लेषणको चित्रण गरिएको छ । प्रेमको त्रिकोणात्मकतासँगै यौनसमस्याको अप्रेसन गर्ने कार्य भएको छ यस उपन्यासमा । तर यस प्रकारको प्रस्तुति नेपाली समाजको त कुरै भएन, युरोपेली समाजमा पनि पाच्य हुन गाह्रो छ । कथासम्पादन दोषी चश्मा श्वेतभैरवी जीवनीसम्पादन आफ्नो कथा जेल जर्नल
