Podcast Hondje, hondje ik ga naar huis!
Deze podcast gaat over een jongetje in de jaren 50 dat leed aan de besmettelijke ziekte TBC (tuberculose). Noodgedwongen heeft hij 5 jaar van zijn jonge leven moeten kuren in een sanatorium. Voor de oorlog, tot in de jaren 50 stierven er veel mensen aan. Als je het had dan ging je, in die tijd, meestal naar een herstellingsoord , een sanatorium om te kuren. Rust, reinheid, regelmaat en gezonde lucht was in die tijd ‘de remedie’. Sommige TBC patiënten verbleven jaren veelal liggend in het sanatorium. . Een eenzaam bestaan. Kinderen die moesten kuren waren langdurig gescheiden van hun ouders. Bezoektijden waren beperkt, en bovendien was de reis ernaar toe vaak kostbaar en tijd- rovend.
