He was 7 feet 6 inches tall and lived during the 19th century. Swami Samarth is widely considered to be the 4th incarnation of Dattatreya, an Indian monk mystic and Hindu deity.  Akkalkot, is situated in Solapur district ,Maharastra is widely known for its association with Swami Samarth Maharaj who lived there for 24 years and took MahaSamadhi( left his mortal body) is 1878. These episodes on the life of Swami Samarth is an attempt to help the listeners to do a Parayan and benefit Benevolently.
