[…] When a PT quits, the patients are still on the schedule. So if that PT was seeing 12 visits a day, every visit that doesn't happen is money. The clinic never gets back rent, utilities, front desk, All of that is still due. So paying a traveler double for 13 weeks costs less than an empty schedule. So the clinic's not making a profit. They're probably not even making any profit margin. It's just the bleeding is going from this to this, okay? So why doesn't staff get that rate? Staff pay comes down to two things. What insurance pays per visit and how many PTs will take the job for less. Reimbursement keeps dropping, right? […]
