I think it's us reneging on our duty. So I talked about having a duty towards others. Our duty as adults is to bring up our children in such a way so that they can thrive later. And that means holding them to account. And that means doing things that in the moment we think, oh, I feel a bit bad about doing this. I get it. We feel bad.
