#8 Feeling Your Emotions, Reclaiming Your Potential & Moving Forward
đď¸ NEW EPISODE OF TALKS WITH FRIENDS
Todayâs conversation with James Richardson went somewhere real.
We talked about mental health, discovering your potential, creating momentum and what it means to actually feel your emotions instead of running from them.
James opened up vulnerably about his own experience with mental health and the importance of creating space for men to talk about what theyâre really feeling.
Because men have emotions too.
Men hurt.â¨Men grieve.â¨Men struggle.â¨Men need support.â¨And yesâŚ
Men can have a good cry. â¤ď¸
Crying doesnât make you weak. Vulnerability doesnât make you less of a man. Being honest about what youâre experiencing can be one of the most courageous things you do.
Sometimes healing begins when we stop pretending weâre okay and finally give ourselves permission to feel.
This conversation reminded me that mental health isnât something we should only talk about when weâre in crisis.
We need to talk about it before we get there.
James is passionate about helping people reconnect with their true potential through positive reinforcement, supportive tools, and the momentum to keep moving forward.
This was an honest, vulnerable, and deeply human conversationâand Iâm grateful he was willing to share his story.
đ§ Listen to the new episode of Talks with Friends today.
And remember:
You donât have to hold everything in.â¨You donât have to be strong every minute.â¨You are allowed to feel.

#4 Spirituality after Trauma
After trauma, many people are drawn to spirituality in search of meaning, peace, and connection. But what happens when spirituality becomes another way to disconnect from yourself?
In this episode of Talks with Friends, Elise explores the difference between grounded spirituality and spiritual bypassing. She breaks down how trauma can impact discernment, why intuition can feel confusing, and how to reconnect with your spiritual practice in a way that supports your nervous system not overrides it.
This conversation is an invitation to come back to yourself.
To trust your body.
And to build a spiritual path that feels safe, embodied, and real.

#3 When the body remembers what the mind avoids
Welcome back to Talks with Friends.
In the last episode we talked about self-sabotage and how many of the patterns we judge ourselves for are actually trauma responses.
Today, I want to go deeper into something that many of us experience but donât always understand.

Enjoy weekly episodes
Here, we talk about trauma through the lens of spirituality, nervous system wisdom, leadership, and embodied truth.
We explore what it means to stop surviving and start leading your life, your healing, your voice.
I donât believe in toxic positivity.
I believe in alchemy.
In turning pain into purpose, wounds into wisdom, and survival into sovereignty.
