About The Intermission Podcast

[ENG] Welcome to The Intermission Podcast. A pause in between. A conversation off-stage, in the hallway, after rehearsal. Hosted by Oscar David, an actor, and Théophile Thierry, a pianist, this podcast brings together artists and people shaping cultural projects—between concerts, between shoots, between moments—to talk about what they’re creating, what they’ve been through, and what’s on their mind. No pitch. No agenda. Just a space to talk about the creative process — and to demystify the structures that surround it. New episodes, every now and then. Language? Depends on the guest. Rules? None. [FR] Bienvenue dans The Intermission Podcast.

The Intermission Podcast - Alexis Juncosa (Ep. 3)

[ENG] For this second episode, we sat down with filmmaker Saulė Bliuvaitė. Her first feature film Toxic has just completed its festival run, and we talked about the long journey behind it — five years of writing, shooting, editing, promoting — but also about rhythm, intuition, and the difficulty of preserving your original vision. Saulė shared insights into working with first-time actors, building trust on set, and balancing precision with spontaneity. We discussed how much of herself is infused into her characters, the way young people try on different masks to belong, and the contradictions of growing up. A thoughtful conversation, between interviews — with space to explore, question, and pause. Now streaming. This is a public episode. The Intermission Podcast - Arthur Stockel (Ep. 1)

[ENG] For our very first episode, we sat down with clarinetist Arthur Stockel. He just released his new album, Weber: Clarinet Concertos & Quintet (Aparté Music), and we talked about the experience of recording it — but also about everything that surrounds music: the audience, how we define styles, and the richness of working across genres and cultures. Arthur reflects on his time in international youth orchestras, on what it means to carry a project from rehearsal to stage, and on why it sometimes helps to let go of definitions. He ends the episode with a carte blanche performance: Scène de Plage, Ciel d’Orage by Gilles Silvestrini — an encore, for those who stay until the end. A calm conversation, in between interviews — with time to reflect, slow down, and gently drift. Now streaming. This is a public episode.
