To "revive the spirit" (hopeful reflections from Isaiah 57)
In this episode we linger over a rich, hope-filled, restorative passage in Isaiah 57 (vs. 14-19) drawing from it how we can:
- receive this incredible, unexpected, enthusiastic kindness from God's heart toward us
- approach ourselves with this kind of gentle, grace-filled language when we feel like a failure or in a place of defeat
- carry that hope to others when they are "bruised and lowly", approaching with a gentle, restorative kindness rather than criticism or judgment

"Forgetting" what lies behind
When looking forward looks like looking backward, why to bypass spiritual bypassing, slaying giants, letting them lie, and the intersection of having faith & being human.
A note from Kathryn: Hello friends! I accidentally started this podcast earlier than planned (but later than hoped!) because two days ago, I was finally trying to share a public Evernote journal recording to my Instagram stories. Turns out you would have to have Evernote for that to open so, I was looking into how to share it more accessibly. Spotify led me to Anchor, and Anchor made me start a podcast to share my journal note so... link, created - and my long sat on podcast intention with it!
