El virus Polimórfico, es el tipo de virus que cambia su firma cada vez que se replica e infecta un nuevo archivo. Esto hace que sea más difícil de detectar por un antivirus. Los virus del tipo polimórfico, son tal vez los más difíciles de detectar. Es un virus que por medio de un motor polimórfico se muta a sí mismo mientras mantiene su algoritmo original intacto, es decir, mantiene su función prescrita intacta.
