Aaron Portnoy started hacking at 15. There was no career path, no industry to join, and no rulebook to follow. Cybersecurity wasn't even a well-defined discipline yet — it had a black arts reputation and was associated more with shadowy figures than legitimate careers.
Twenty-five years later, Aaron has worked across government and private sector, hacked everything from software to hardware to AI systems, co-founded Exodus Intelligence, built Randori's R&D program (acquired by IBM), and now leads research and innovation at Mindgard.
