Jody Kochansky - Building the Operating System for Capital Markets
<p>My guest this week is Jody Kochansky. Jody spent almost 30 years at BlackRock where he served as Chief Architect and Head of the Aladdin Product Group. </p><p>Aladdin is a portfolio and investment management software platform that powers Blackrock's $10tn asset management business as well as the businesses of other major financial institutions like Vanguard, MetLife, Freddie Mac, and even Japan's Government Pension Investment Fund. Today Aladdin manages north of $20tn in total assets and Blackrock's Technology Services division reports revenues in excess of $1.4bn. </p><p>We talk about the origin story behind Aladdin, building software within a financial institution, and Jody's thoughts about AI and the future of fintech.
