wir über die Entstehung eines Podcast Artworks sprechen?
Um besser zu verstehen, wann ein Podcast Artwork nicht nur “schön” sondern auch “gut” ist, durfte ich mich in einem kurzen Interview mit den Designerinnen Caro Stieber und Valentina Hagendorfer von Hartinger Consulting unterhalten. Wir haben dabei uA über die visuelle Identität von Podcasts gesprochen, welche besonderen Herausforderungen eines Podcast Artworks mit sich bringt und was man z.B. macht, wenn man nicht auf höchstprofessionelle Designerinnen zurückgreifen kann, sondern sich vielleicht mit Tools wie Canva selbst etwas entwerfen muss. Dabei muss das Design einen schwierigen Spagat meistern: Es soll als großes Aushängeschild des Podcast funktionieren, aber gleichzeitig auf winzigen Smartphone-Displays in der Podcast-App sofort ins Auge stechen und lesbar bleiben. Am Beispiel der Norwegerpullis erklären Caro und Valentina den gesamten Prozess. Von der Recherche nostalgischer Moodboards bis hin zu verworfenen Ideen wie einem experimentellen Strickmuster-Design erklären sie, wie man eine stimmige visuelle Welt erschafft.

...wir beim SMASH FESTIVAL 2023 sind?
Wir wurden gefragt, ob wir nicht einen Begleit-Podcast zum SMASH Festival machen wollten. Wollten wir! Um die Veranstaltung atmosphärisch bestmöglich einzufangen, haben wir unser mobiles Studio in einer Loge der Kasematten aufgebaut. Das hört man, man hört aber auch, wie es ist, im Rahmen eines Podcasts hautnah an einem Festival dabei zu sein. Was ist das SMASH Festival? (Gute) Designmärkte gibt es genug.
