Sarah Bonnell students interview ISMRM researchers, spring 2022
Students from the Sarah Bonnell secondary school for girls in East London interview researchers attending the annual conference of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM). Over two months in spring 2022, the public engagement team from the Wellcome Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging at the University of Oxford worked with nine Sarah Bonnell students on this podcast. All nine girls were specially selected by their teacher, Ms Salma Adel, due to their high performance in school and their interest in neuroscience. They participated in an intro session on MRI scanners and interview skills, then visited three different labs using MRI scanners around London (Imperial College London, UCL, and Guys' and St Thomas' Hospital Kings College London). After the students' lab visits, the researchers then came to Sarah Bonnell school to be interviewed by the students. Lastly, the students were able to attend the ISMRM conference (International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine) at the conference venue located nearby their school in London.
