Podcast Overview

Many dedicate much internet time to conspiracy theories. Is this time well spent? Are there in fact secret things we should be aware of or is it just another form of entertainment? Can we ever know the truth, whatever way we define it? If so, what tests can we apply to get closer to this truth, to sift out the lies and errors? This book seeks a balanced approach to life’s big questions and warns about filling in the blanks we so desperately need with error and cheapening lies without denying the possibility of even some of the apparently strangest claims and pleasures in life's mysteries.

What’s It All About?

<p>In today’s world, we have great research tools at our disposal. The irony is that these great tools are often abused to our detriment or are made to fit false agendas. It is our own human natures that we grapple with, and we require some discipline to avoid the paths of least resistance. &nbsp; With all the hype, exaggerations and lies that we are bombarded with daily, how do we know the accuracy of our research and discern our individual truths?</p> <p>"What’s It All About?" discusses the validity of conspiracy theories. Many people dedicate much of their internet time to it. Is this time well spent? Are there in fact secret things we should be aware about or is it just another form of entertainment? Can we ever know the truth, whatever way we define it? If so, what tests can we apply to get closer to this truth, to sift out the lies and errors?</p> <p>It’s good to be open minded, but as Gilbert K. Chesterton pointed out “You don’t want to be so open minded that your brains fall out!” This book seeks a balanced approach to life’s big questions and warns about filling in the blanks we so desperately need, filled with error and cheapening lies, but does it without denying the possibility of even some of the apparently strangest claims and without denying pleasure in searching life’s mysteries.</p>
