Matthew didn’t show up to the second episode of his own podcast. Our buddy Tom (Videogre) was the scheduled guest. This is probably the funniest possible occurrence, considering.

Consequences Have Actions, or, Money is What It’s All About

Welcome to the pilot episode of this brand new podcast. I’m Lars, one of the co-hosts. Unlike my main podcast, which I consider my creative baby, this one is going to be much more of a joint venture -- and entirely done for the sake of fun. In short, I felt like I had room in my life to create more, and I was wanting to potentially have some guests on a podcast where their size really wasn’t a factor; this show won’t be something I actively attempt to grow.

Hence, this show. I imagine most of you coming over will be listeners of The First Podcast, since Ennui Talk doesn’t technically have any listeners. However, on the off chance that you stumble upon this blind, you should know that a lot of what we’re doing on here is, in some ways, “rehearsed”; we’re going for a style of comedy that feigns something of an adversarial relationship between the co-hosts. It’s all for shits and giggles. In reality, Matthew is someone I’m kind of informally mentoring on the art of podcasts; behind the scenes, we get along just fine.

Also, ManyKudos (James) from my main podcast showed up for a few random parts in this. I didn’t ask him to; he just kind of appeared. So there’s that.

Hope you enjoy it!

Lars’s main podcast: https://www.youtube.com/c/TheFirstPodcast

Matthew’s main podcast: https://www.youtube.com/c/ennuitv1
