Season 2, Ep.1 - Filming in Courts
It's a brand new series! Yeah, I Heard About That is getting a facelift... Shorter episodes on fewer topics. Today I'm talking about filming in courts. This week the government announced plans to extend filming rights to broadcast from some Crown Courts. This has pros and cons, in the context of our time but ultimately I think this announcement is distractive and problematic. What do you think? @RowanPresHedley Music by Kevin MacLeod

Election Special | Good News 2019
This week, in the last few days before the general election I'm covering the accusations of anti-semitism from Labour and Jeremy Corbyn. Also Gal-Dem's approach to race and religion in politics. I'm talking about former Tory leader support for BoJo NOT to be PM, the Tory record in children's rights, the NHS, and food banks. More external commentary on the failure of the Tories to be 'the Party of the economy', and Jack Merritt's father's response to the leadership debate. Finally, some of the best news stories of 2019, illustrated, for your viewing pleasure. 50 Times Corbyn stood with Jewish people - https://tinyurl.com/rvrlt78 Tory Ministers Islamaphobia - https://tinyurl.com/w9f69tz Gal-Dem - https://tinyurl.com/uybhfko The Tories on the Economy - https://tinyurl.com/ucv5ar3 David Merritt debate response - https://tinyurl.com/slxz3tj Good News 2019 - https://tinyurl.com/tylcgv8 What did you hear about this week? @RowanPresHedley Music by Kevin MacLeod.

Lies, 'terror', trains, and trees.
This week I'm taking a delve into the dirty games of the upcoming General Election. I'm also taking stock of successes and struggles in the world of gender and sexuality. A little bit of Eurovision news! And that update on Hong Kong. What did you hear about? @RowanPresHedley Music by Kevin MacLeod

Tories Online | Caitlyn Jenner | Hong Kong
This week I have about a 60% voice. It's resting now. I'm talking about more misleading information educating this upcoming election; the Tories hiding their true form and Jo Swinson continuing to illustrate hers. I'm talking about linguistic gender politics and the ramifications of 'guys' as well as other queer news. I've got some updates on Hong Kong, Chile, and Bolivia. It's tough out there pals. Philanthropy | Politics | Good News
This week is a stew of updates. I'm talking about the dangers of philanthropic charity and how an equal opportunities state run not for profit could benefit all of us. I'm also talking about misleading propaganda and trust in this election period. I'm talking about gender and sexuality, making strides and acknowledging continuing failures in the social response to both. I'm listing my favourite good news bites of the week. This week I dabble in updates for the big 3 political Parties in the UK. We've got misleading information, Grenfell condemnation, and a new speaker in this Parliamentary session. EU/Election Special | Global Updates
Well, it's another chunky one. This week we have a Brexit extension, BoJo isn't in a ditch as he said he would be, confirmation of a general election on 12th December and the beginnings of the campaign trail for it. Listen for my take on what has been, will be, and hopefully wont be. Also this week, the rugby!! (That is about as sporty as it has ever been on this show.) Good news from the Colombia elections and US abortion bans; increasing international support for Rojava and the truly democratic, equal, and free society it encompasses; and updates on the protests in Hong Kong and Chile. Gender Politik | N. Ireland | Global News
Since the time of recording the people found in a lorry in Essex are now thought to be Vietnamese. Also Brexit has given *more* gift in revealing that workers' rights may be even more fragile in a possible deal than previously proposed. Shock. This week I'm talking about how sexism negatively affects all of us, the function of patriarchy, and BoJo's recent additions. Also the increase in personal autonomy in Northern Ireland this week and why that's important. Find out about Clitorosity here https://www.clitorosity.com In global news I'm talking about the positive moves in Australia surrounding Uluru, political developments in Chile and Hong Kong, and Trump's possible U-turn to leave troops in Syria to help Kurds in Rojava, but only for the oil. Proroguing Decision | Socialism | Young Climate Activists | Naga Muchetty
This BUSY week I'm talking about a lot of things and keeping it as concise as possible. The England and Wales Supreme Court returned a decision of 'unlawful' regarding BoJo's attempt at a 5 week prorogation. We've seen some scenes in the Commons since then. I'm also talking about Trump's impeachment process, private schools, Thomas Cook and socialism. Finally, it's been a week of promoting the names of young climate activists of colour as well as Greta Thurnberg. I talk about some of these and comment on the decision returned this week that Naga Munchetty went 'beyond guidelines' in her comments regarding Trump's tweet to 'go home' on BBC Breakfast.
