During his time in Cairo, Yusuf completed the Arabic Diploma and the Khitaba (Sermon) course offered by the Fajr Centre. He also attended classes of many eminent scholars in Cairo, further enriching his knowledge and expertise. Between 2008 and 2011, Yusuf taught English in Al Qassim, Saudi Arabia, where he was actively involved with the Buraidah Da’wah Centre and served as a Hajj guide for new Muslims. His experience in Saudi Arabia allowed him to combine his educational pursuits with practical Islamic outreach and community service. In 2011, Yusuf became the first Imam of the Town Centre Mosque in Cape Town, South Africa. His leadership and guidance have been instrumental in fostering a strong, spiritually enriched community. Currently, he is an instructor at the Al Furqan Institute and is pursuing his MA, continuing his lifelong commitment to Islamic education and community development.
