The two filmmakers discuss movement, filmmaking and freedom in Occupied Palestine.</p> <p>Amber Fares co-founded SocDoc Studios in 2009 and later became famous with her documentary Speed Sisters, following the lives of an all female car racing team in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, navigating mobility under occupation.</p> <p>Her later productions include "The Judge", released in 2017. Between Maqam and Harmony with Bakr Khleifi
<p>In the first episode of the Zait wa Za3tar Podcast, the festival's co-founder and co-curator Cora Josting asks some questions; Bakr Khleifi answers, and plays the oud. Bakr has been playing the oud since the age of six and has performed on both the oud and the double-bass in various locations around the world, from the Carnegie Hall and the Berlin Philharmonic to venues in his native Palestine.
