What are the implications of the lack of Sex Education in Zango? - Part 1
In the larger Ghanaian context, sex is an uncomfortable subject to discuss openly. In Zango, a community inhabited largely by [mostly conservative] muslims, it's an abomination. It doesn't matter what legitimate questions a kid might have about it, they're often rebuked into silence by parents if they dared ask. The result? People grow up and are unable to discuss it even as married partners. The way forward: should we start discussing it or continue to shy away from such an all-important conversation?
