Wir berichten über eine Schule in Erfurt, in der bilingual, also in Deutsch und in Gebärdensprache gleichzeitig unterrichtet wird. Und wir fordern, dass Gebärdensprache an allen Schulen ein ganz normales Unterrichtsfach wird – so wie Englisch.

Doch für Mädchen wird es immer gefährlicher in die Schule zu gehen, denn die Taliban möchten, dass Mädchen zur Hause bleiben. Malala und ihr Vater sind mutig und protestieren dagegen. Brehanesh erlebt ein Wunder
Als Kind verstand sie niemanden und konnte nicht mit anderen Kindern spielen. Das gehörlose Mädchen Brehanesh aus Äthiopien ist so traurig bis ein Wunder geschieht: Sie kommt an eine Schule, in der alle Kinder und Erwachsene die Gebärdensprache sprechen. Sie lernt die neue Sprache und ist glücklich. Heute ist sie selbst Lehrerin und freut sich, Kinder in Gebärdensprache zu unterrichten.
