#012 『狼の血族』と『エクソシスト信じる者』について考える
<p>前半は、前回の『フライトナイト』(1985)に続いて、三大モンスターのひとつ「狼男」を描いたニール・ジョーダン監督<strong>『狼の血族』(1984)</strong>を取り上げました。古典童話の「赤ずきん」という器に違うワインを入れた本作が放つ香りは、思春期の少女の性への興味と、そこからつながる欲望。今観ても興味深い作品です。後半は、フリードキン監督『エクソシスト』(1973)の正統な続編として三部作構成で制作が始まったシリーズの１作目<strong>『エクソシスト信じる者』(2023)</strong>。評価の割れるという本作ですが、ブラムハウス制作という点に着目して、何が描かれているのかを考えてみました。</p> <p>どちらも完全ネタばれで話していますのでご注意ください。</p> <p>竹美さんのインド映画コーナーは、先頃インドでリバイバル上映されたサンジャイ・リーラー・バンサーリー監督の<strong>『パドマーワト 女神の誕生』(2018)</strong>について。悲劇的な物語ですが、なぜ惹かれるのか。その魅力を解説しています。</p>

<p>トム・ホランド監督のヴァンパイア映画『フライトナイト』(1985)は、意図的か意図的でないかはともかく、クィア表現がみられる映画といわれています。どんなところにその要素が感じられるのか、また、80年代、AIDSパニック真っ只中のアメリカで、そうした表現を用いた映画が作られたのはなぜかといった視点で、本作を改めて捉えなおしてみました。インド映画事情のコーナーは、反ボリウッドの騎手、アグニホトリ監督について。キャンセルカルチャーに遭った監督が今どのように受けとめられているのか、インドの社会情勢と照らし合わせて竹美さんが解説します。</p>
