Welcome to the first episode of Zinnia! Today we talk with @vicky_zzzzzzz an activist and upcoming author of @while_being_asian! We will address some of the issues she faces as both a woman and a part of the Asian community in Canada, as well as how the current situation with COVID-19 has impacted her life and her community. We will learn about the racist history against Asians in that country as well as the most recent attacks against Asian women and elders. We will discuss cultural appropriation and how to be a better ally to the community while hopefully having a lot of fun!
