<p>This week, Zoe and I will be discussing the Rainforest Trust Organization. More specifically their project in the Amazon rainforest. Established in 1988, the Rainforest Trust is a non-profit organization that aims to purchase and protect tropical lands, that conserve threatened species, and work with local organizations to help Indigenous communities gain back title to their land.</p> <p>More specifically, we are going to take a look at the lands of the Amazon Rainforest. Home to 220 Indigenous communities covering more than six million acres, and over 3 million species thriving in the warm moist climate.</p> <p> But life isn’t always green and sunny for those who inhabit the world’s largest rainforest...</p>
