The Anti-Blockbuster Movie Draft
We all, as '80s lovers, know when movies were first deemed as blockbusters. And the 80s had so many. Batman. Indiana Jones. Ghostbusters. Superman. But...'80s moives were more than that. In fact, one might argue the personality of the decade of '80s movies is more prevelant as the anti-blockbuster. The movies that were marginal in the theater, but as the movie became available on VHS and cable, they became classics. This episode dives in to the movies that were never movies that made the money you would expect, but they won your heart and your attention. Join us in The '80s Cafe as each host drafts a list of movies under the $35 million threshold it made in theaters and see whose list was the best. We even used categories to make the draft better! You will be surprised as to how many iconic movies the '80s gave us that were the anti-blockbuster!
