Since 1997, Punchline set out to write meaningful, heartfelt songs and share them with the world. At the same time, they were also unknowingly writing one of the strangest band stories imaginable. This podcast serves to tell that story, straight from the mouths of the people who lived it, and in a more honest manner than ever before.

[…] So it's very inspiring to keep going in terms of recording. The way this album was written, though, was pretty special and different from every other album. I came home to Pittsburgh. Me and Chris got together every day, and we would write a song. Just me and him in his office at his old house. He had this old piano that was kind of out of tune, but also sounded pretty cool. And we would program drums and exchange ideas and kind of build ideas right there. So we were writing as we were demoing songs. So this effort was a whole new way of writing punchline songs because before it was either one guy came in with a pretty formed idea that everyone put their touches onto or the whole band, be it three or four guys in the room, are all writing together. […]
