A Biblical-Theological Survey of Jesus' Bible

About A Biblical-Theological Survey of Jesus' Bible

In these 49 Old Testament Lectures from 2020-2021, Dr. Jason S. DeRouchie of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary helps students read each book of the Hebrew Bible, the Bible that Jesus read, as distinctly Christian Scripture. Dr. DeRouchie traces the prophetic storyline of God's redemptive plan, clarifies how God's covenant relationship with His people unfolds, and shows how each book points forward to the person and work of Christ and the inauguration of God's eternal kingdom. Drawing on his own original research and the insights of biblical-theological scholars, Dr. DeRouchie equips listeners to read the Old Testament as Jesus did on the road to Emmaus, where "beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself" (Luke 24:27), and as the apostles did in their Christ-centered preaching and teaching.
