Cari unfolds her story of the day she found out Ryan died and the weight of telling her kids what happened to their dad. 12. A Mixed Faith Marriage
<p>Alyssa and Joseph both grew up members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Joseph had questions regarding the church as a young man, but he continued to be an active member of the church while searching for answers. He did all the "right" things. He read the scriptures and prayed to God. He served an LDS mission. He was married in the temple to Alyssa yet the questions remained. A couple of years into their marriage, he shared his feelings with Alyssa and began distancing himself from the LDS religion. They tell us of their resulting journey which includes entering into a new marriage, shifting expectations, and learning to navigate two different faiths within their home.</p>
