The modern gospel asks a man to trust what Christ did by His death on the cross for his salvation as opposed to his own works, but stops there, leaving him exactly as he was. Scripture says otherwise: if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new. This is believed in theory while leaving no evidence in reality, leaving many deceived about the validity of their salvation.
Gerry G. Register preaches the gospel as the power of God unto salvation, and explains what that power is for and what it does in us. Salvation is God's work from first to last. He takes out the heart of stone and gives a heart of flesh. He works in the believer both to will and to do of His good pleasure. God has made Christ unto us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption.
The faith God gives is not intellectual assent. It is effectual. It changes a man, and remains in us a powerful principle and force that motivates us to action toward God's will.
God has not changed. He is holy, He does not wink at sin, and His expectation is still righteousness. But the gospel of our day treats sincere assent as sufficient and holds out the transformed life as an optional "deeper life" for the especially committed, rather than the ordinary evidence of conversion. So a man may keep his secret sins and believe himself saved. This "deeper life" is never accomplished by the unregenerate. Man's enmity toward God prevents it.
These sermons are Holy Spirit led and grounded in the Scriptures alone. New messages added as they are preached.
Romans 10 - The Spirit's Role in the Life of the Christian
Gerry G. Register begins with joy unspeakable, peace and rest known only in Christ, and with being ready for His return. Faith cometh by hearing, and Lydia in Acts 16 shows what true hearing is: the Lord opened her heart, and she attended unto the things spoken of Paul. Without that opening "it'll just be information," for the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God. The word of Christ must be joined to the operation of the Holy Spirit to produce active faith, and that faith is specific, not general: "the Holy Spirit deals in specifics," working on particular things. The churches ask no accountability; "People today can very easily hide in the group," yet no man can have the Spirit poured into his heart and not know it.

Romans 10 - Peace with God and Joy Unspeakable
Working in Romans 10, Gerry G. Register goes back first to Romans 6: how shall we that are dead to sin live any longer therein? Dead is past tense, an accomplished thing, and he that is dead is freed not only from sin's consequence but from its power. "The power of sin has no dominion over you any longer." There is the Spirit and there is the flesh, and no middle ground. The second half takes up tradition, from Matthew 15, Isaiah 29, Ezekiel 33 and Mark 7: men make the commandment of God of none effect by their tradition, and a believism gospel handed down through the denominations has become exactly that. Then back to Romans 10 and a zeal not according to knowledge, with Jeremiah's broken cisterns set against the fountain of living waters.

Romans 10 - Christ Our Satisfaction - Living in a State of Satisfaction and Thankfulness
Gerry G. Register opens on what the Lord put on his heart that morning: the Christian life is a real relationship with the Christ we were once at enmity with. "He's real to us. And we walk with him and talk with him." The body is the hearing of faith from Galatians 3 and Luke 8, hearing with the intent to know and obey; knowing the Bible without it is no spiritual life at all. Take heed how ye hear, for from him that hath not shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have. He allows no gray middle where men get there by staying in church long enough: "They will not get to it." He ends in rest and thankfulness, because "Jesus Christ must be your satisfaction," and a satisfied life is a witness to a world going from pillar to post.
