A Changed Life with Ilyse Craft
What if the life you’re living is only one version of what’s possible for you?
A Changed Life is a podcast about the inner shifts that transform how you live, relate, and lead yourself.
Host Ilyse Craft works with individuals and couples who know they’re capable of more but feel stuck in patterns that keep repeating. Through conversations on neuroscience, identity change, nervous system regulation, energetics, habit formation, and lived experience, this podcast explores what actually creates lasting transformation.
This show is for people who are curious about their lives.
People who know they’ve abandoned themselves somewhere along the way.
People who feel the pull toward something more.
Because real change doesn’t happen through insight alone.
It happens when awareness turns into embodiment.
If you’re ready to think differently, respond differently, and create a different life — you’re in the right place.
Why do you keep replaying the betrayal even though you want to move on? Because you're running on pain, and pain works. It's fuel. Doubt keeps you careful. Anger gets you out of bed. Retelling the story keeps the engine running. The problem is that it's dirty fuel. To keep it flowing, you have to keep going back to the source, and every time you do, your body feels like it's happening right now. Same chemicals, same feelings. Your brain doesn't know the difference between remembering it and living it. In this episode, Ilyse breaks down why holding on to pain feels like protection, the brain and body chemistry behind replaying betrayal, and the simple practice that changes the mix: adding one word. "It happened AND I can move forward." She also speaks directly to the partner who did the deceiving: shame is dirty fuel too. It feels like accountability, but it keeps you looking backward instead of building who you're becoming. You'll learn: - Why pain becomes fuel and why it works so well - The brain chemistry behind replaying betrayal on loop - Why holding on feels like protection (and what it's protecting) - The "AND" practice that starts changing your fuel mix - A direct message for the partner working to rebuild trust This week's practice: a few times a day, ask yourself, "What fuel am I running on right now?" Am I being pushed by what happened, or pulled by where I'm going? Episode 32: Changes?
I’ve been thinking about retirement lately.
Not because I want to stop working. I love my work.
But I’m becoming much more interested in a different question:
What do I want my work, and my life, to look like in this next chapter?
And the word I keep coming back to is legacy.
After more than a decade of coaching, teaching, learning and creating, I’ve built an enormous body of tools and frameworks around betrayal, relationships, repair, trust, boundaries, identity, beliefs and becoming.
For years, much of that work was available primarily to the people who worked with me privately.
That’s changing.
I want the work I’ve already created to reach far more people, without requiring them to spend thousands of dollars every month to access specialized support.
In this short episode, I’m sharing what is changing in my work, why accessibility has become so important to me, what I’m learning about the kind of work I still want to do personally, and why I’m thinking less about retirement and much more about legacy.
I’m also sharing a little about my upcoming training in Superconscious Healing and why going deeper into beliefs, meaning and what continues to organize our lives feels like such a natural evolution of my work.
Maybe this chapter isn’t about doing more.
Maybe it’s about allowing what we’ve already created to matter more.

Episode 31: What If This Comes Before Healing?
Most people are waiting. Waiting to heal so their life can finally change. Waiting to feel different before they act different.
This episode flips that order completely.
Ilyse makes the case that healing was never meant to be the starting point. It's the byproduct. When you change the things in your life, the personality you've been performing, the inner dialogue running on repeat, the world you've built around old versions of yourself, healing follows. It's not the thing you wait for, it's what happens after you move.
This one will hit anyone who's been stuck in the waiting room of their own life, thinking they need to feel ready or healed enough before they change anything.
In this episode:
Why waiting to heal keeps people stuck longer than the wound ever would. The difference between healing as the goal and healing as the result.
How changing your inner dialogue rewires more than your mood, it rewires your identity. What it looks like to change first and let healing catch up.
