My everyday life with little ones. Sharing the sweet...and not so sweet...moments of my every day. I want to be able to reflect and grow through these years, and help other moms do the same. So I hope others will join me as we do this mom thing together, a day at a time.
- The Busy Toddler Summer Bucket List (https://busytoddler.com/2016/06/summer-activity-list-for-toddlers/) is a great place to start to look for those fun once (or more) a week activities. The types of activities and prep needed to do them varies, making it perfect for all kinds of kids and all kinds of moms!
- Tonight's dinner is Instant Pot Beef and Broccoli (https://www.wholekitchensink.com/instant-pot-beef-broccoli/). It is paleo, Whole30, GF, DF, in the Instant Pot, quick, and easy. I'm hoping that splurging on the 'nice' beef will make it an extra yummy dinner for all of us! The meal plan for the rest of the week is here (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1hH3fH-CXf6-YY_aUS1z2XrILMgpDo3MHGcl589TAS_4/edit?usp=sharing), or at adayatatimepodcast.com/meal-plans (https://www.adayatatimepodcast.com/meal-plans).
- The book we've all been enjoying in the last week is Stuck by Oliver Jeffers (https://www.oliverjeffers.com/stuck). It's a cute (and hilarious) story of a little boy who gets his kite stuck up in a tree and tries throwing up all sorts of things to get it down. I wouldn't say there is any sort of message to the book, but it is still such a delightful read. There is also a card deck (https://www.bugandbeankids.com/products/go-fish-a-3-in-1-card-deck?variant=32368878452782&gclid=CjwKCAjwoZWHBhBgEiwAiMN66fkMDCTcAwORxcM8tD51UHtkc8lWTJt0lC7xNPEPx8Eqq1OrtLC5bRoCZG0QAvD_BwE) to play Go Fish with that has all of the illustrations on it! We've really enjoyed the combination of those things in our house lately.

Episode 55: Keeping Them Alive
- Tonight's dinner is Pesto Chicken and Veggies. I made it last week and *almost* everyone ate it, so I'm using up the ingredients making it again this week. The meal plan for the rest of the week is here (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1oFSMOcjeUZfzuho13D6nbAzLJnrZLI8i4lyLApmHjlQ/edit?usp=sharing), or at adayatatimepodcast.com/meal-plans (https://www.adayatatimepodcast.com/meal-plans).
- In the last week both kids have been OBSESSED with Melissa and Doug Poke-A-Dot books (https://www.melissaanddoug.com/our-toys/books/poke-a-dot/)...and I have been enjoying them too! The stories are almost secondary, but they have so many different ones to choose from that you can even still get one with a topic interesting to any kiddo. Highly recommend for interactive reading, counting (depending on the book), fine motor, and even cause and effect!

Episode 54: Figuring Out Birthday Parties
- Tonight's dinner is Enchilada Pasta (https://confessionsofafitfoodie.com/instant-pot-enchilada-pasta-21-day-fix-ww-gluten-free/), and I have a good feeling that everyone will like it...either the enchilada part, or the pasta part! - This week we have had two books on repeat, one for each kid. For the little guy, Little Blue Truck (https://bookshop.org/books/little-blue-truck-board-book/9780358451228) is an everyday (multiple times a day) hit. For my Kiddo, Smoot: A Rebellious Shadow (https://bookshop.org/books/smoot-a-rebellious-shadow/9780525429692) is both engaging and hilarious to her.
