A Gentle Ramble Through the Bible - The Celebration
The CelebrationAfter six years of Bible study together, it is time to move on to new classes and new teachers. It is not healthy to study under the same teacher too long.In this video, Pastor Gayle shares the backpack tools and resources that will remain available moving forward. We express our gratitude for each other and share what our "takeaways" will be. At the end, Pastor Gayle shares some news about where her path will take her next. Then we close with a slideshow, Pastor Gayle's final remarks, and her blessing* for us all. And, of course, we end with a prayer of thanksgiving.Blessings, grace, and peace be with you all.Amen* The blessing was a slightly adapted version of the poem "Mother Wisdom Speaks" by Christine Lore Webber ** Special gratitude to Norm and Ingrid Cumming who re-recorded their song "God Be With You" for the slideshow soundtrack. Thank you! A free Study Guide is available. A video version of the class is available on YouTube. More info at EversBibleClass.com.

A Gentle Ramble Through the Bible - Class 197
The Final Battle, 2nd Resurrection, Judgment & New CreationAfter the end of a thousand years, Satan is set loose from the Abyss. He immediately goes to the four corners of the earth to deceive the nations. The nations rise up against God in a final battle. God isn’t having any of it. That battle is over before it hardly begins. Satan is thrown immediately into the fiery lake to join the AntiChrist and the False Prophet. Death and Hades will join them in short order. After that everyone else is resurrected. The dead are judged and receive rewards according to their works. A new heaven, a new earth, and a new Jerusalem come. This new Jerusalem is the dwelling place of God and the Lamb on earth. Nothing vile can enter there, but must stay outside the gates of the city. At the end, Jesus stresses that he is coming soon, echoing the messages to the seven churches to hold on and persevere because rewards are given to those who overcome. John says, “Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!” We cover:Isaiah 46:10Ezekiel 38, 40 thru 48Matthew 13:40-43John 10:101 Corinthians 3:9-171 Thessalonians 5:9Revelation 20:7 thru 22:21 A free Study Guide is available. A Gentle Ramble Through the Bible - Class 196
Babylon the Great, Armageddon & the Millennial KingdomJohn gets a sickening view of Babylon the Great, the economic power at the center of commerce and luxury. She is portrayed as an idolatrous prostitute drunk on the blood of the saints. When her end comes, all those she seduced distance themselves from her even as they weep and wail over her destruction. Then the kings of the earth gather at Armageddon to fight against Israel and their God. It is a bloodbath. Jerusalem is taken, but then Jesus comes with the hosts of heaven, and God himself stands on the Mount of Olives, splitting it in two. There follows a first resurrection of those who are appointed to judge and the martyrs who were killed because they would not worship the AntiChrist. The AntiChrist and the False Prophet are thrown into the “fiery lake” that is the “second death.” Satan is locked away while these saints reign on earth with Christ for a thousand years. We cover:Isaiah 65:20ffEzekiel 39Joel 2Zechariah 14Revelation 17:1 thru 20:6 A free Study Guide is available. A video version of the class is available on YouTube. More info at EversBibleClass.com.
