Break My Heart for What Breaks Yours: Addiction, Abuse, and the Brokenhearted

What does it truly mean to pray, “Lord, break my heart for what breaks Yours” — and actually mean it? In this deeply moving episode, Kimber and Catherine step into sacred, tender ground as they talk about women walking through addiction, abuse, abandonment, and unimaginable heartbreak. With raw honesty and unwavering faith, they share stories of shattered places—and the God who meets us there. Together, they gently dismantle the idea that addiction only looks like what we see in textbooks. It’s not always substances or rock-bottom headlines. Sometimes addiction is quieter. More socially acceptable. Harder to spot. Addiction can look like: The phone we can’t put down. The social media scroll that numbs comparison and loneliness. The eating habits that comfort pain. The relationships we cling to for validation. The perfectionism that masks insecurity. The need to stay busy so we never have to feel. At its core, addiction is anything we turn to instead of God to soothe what only He can heal. Kimber and Catherine explore how addiction often masks deep wounds, how abuse distorts identity, and how brokenheartedness can either harden us or lead us straight into the arms of Jesus. This conversation isn’t about quick fixes or polished testimonies. It’s about sitting in the ashes and discovering that God is still present, still restoring, still redeeming. They invite listeners to see women not as their struggles, but as daughters—chosen, pursued, and fiercely loved by a Father who never turns away. They wrestle with the hard questions: How do we respond when someone we love is trapped in addiction? Where is God in the middle of abuse? What does compassion look like without enabling? How can the Church become a refuge instead of a courtroom? And how do we confront the addictions hiding in our own hearts? With Scripture woven throughout and prayer at the center, this episode is both a lament and a call to awakening—a reminder that when we ask God to break our hearts for what breaks His, He doesn’t leave us shattered. He makes us vessels of mercy. If you’ve ever felt forgotten, misused, discarded, overlooked, or lost… this conversation is for you. And if you’ve ever whispered, “Lord, use me,” be prepared—He may first soften, search, and sanctify your heart. Come listen. Come reflect. Come surrender. Come believe again in a God who restores the brokenhearted and sets the captives free.

Break My Heart for What Breaks Yours: Children and the Innocent at Risk

What moves the heart of God? In this deeply stirring episode, Kimber and Catherine lean into a simple but dangerous prayer: “Lord, break my heart for what breaks Yours.” And nowhere is His heart more tender—or more fiercely protective—than toward children and the innocent. Throughout Scripture, we see God’s unwavering love for the vulnerable. In passages like Gospel of Matthew 18:6 and Gospel of Mark 10:13–16, Jesus doesn’t merely welcome children—He defends them. He elevates them. He warns anyone who would cause them harm. This is more than a conversation about awareness—it’s a call to alignment. When our hearts begin to reflect His, we can no longer ignore injustice, overlook vulnerability, or stay quiet when protection is needed. Join us for a heartfelt, courageous discussion that invites repentance, awakens compassion, and calls us to action. Together, let’s become people who see what God sees, feel what God feels, and stand boldly for those who cannot stand for themselves. Because when our hearts break for what breaks His, lives are changed—and the innocent are protected.

Break My Heart for What Breaks Yours: Women & Widows, the Forgotten and Overlooked

What does it mean to truly see the women the world too often looks past? In this deeply reflective episode, Break My Heart for What Breaks Yours, Kimber and Catherine turn our attention to women and widows—the forgotten, the overlooked, and the unheard. Through honest conversation, compassion, and spiritual reflection, this episode explores grief, loss, resilience, and the quiet strength carried by women navigating life after profound change. We confront societal blind spots, challenge indifference, and ask what it looks like to let our hearts break for the same things that break God’s heart. This episode is an invitation to listen, to remember, and to respond with empathy, justice, and love.

Break My Heart for What Breaks Yours : The Poor, the Hurt, and the Lost

In this episode, Kimber and Catherine step into one of the most uncomfortable—and central—truths of the gospel: God’s fierce love for the poor, the wounded, and the forgotten.Through Scripture and honest reflection, they challenge the narrow way we often define poverty. Poverty isn’t just a lack of money—it’s a lack of safety, dignity, hope, and belonging. Jesus doesn’t merely notice the poor; He inserts himself into the middle of it. A hard truth confronts us along the way: We often pray for revival while ignoring the very people revival would reach first. This episode calls listeners to examine how comfort can isolate us, to move beyond distant charity into real relationship, and to personally see, serve, and support the poor in our midst. If you’ve ever asked God to break your heart for what breaks His—this conversation is an invitation to let Him do exactly that.

The Long Yes: Staying Faithful Until the Fruit Comes

What does Kingdom work really look like when it’s lived out day by day? In this episode, Kimber and Catherine talk honestly about the gifts God has placed inside each of us—and the responsibility and freedom that come with stewarding them well. This is a conversation about showing up without guilt, releasing the fear of failure, and trusting God even when the road feels long and unseen. They remind us that Kingdom impact isn’t about instant results or perfection—it’s about obedience, endurance, and staying planted long enough to see the fruit. Growth takes time. Calling unfolds in seasons. And quitting too early often costs us what God was building all along. If you’ve ever wondered whether your work matters, felt discouraged in the waiting, or needed permission to keep going without pressure, this episode is for you. Stay in it. Keep going. The harvest will come.

   Called to Community

We were never meant to walk this journey alone. From the very beginning, God designed us for connection, community, and meaningful relationships. In todays episode, Kimber and Catherine talk about the gift of connection and friendship, the power of conversation, and the importance of showing up for one another in faith. Together, we explore what it means to live outward instead of hiding, to lean into community instead of isolating, and to invite God into our relationships. Through honest conversations, shared stories, and biblical truth, we talk about accountability, holding space for our friends, and allowing others to hold space for us. This is a reminder that friendship is not a distraction from our faith, but a divine tool God uses to refine us, strengthen us, and keep us grounded. Here, we believe conversations can heal, community can restore, and faith grows best when it is lived out together. It’s a revival of the heart!

Breaking the Silence: Kimber’s story of Trauma, Truth, and Healing

In this deeply personal episode, Kimber opens up to share a part of her story that she’s carried quietly for more than 25 years. For the first time publicly, she opens up about being sexually assaulted at a young age and the long, layered journey of healing that followed. This conversation is about forgiveness, not the surface-level version we often hear about, but the kind that costs something. The kind that doesn’t mean forgetting or excusing what happened, but choosing not to clutch that moment so tightly anymore. As a Christian, shes learned that forgiveness is not optional, it’s a calling. And yet, it’s also a process, and one that can be a very difficult and long road for many. Kimber and Catherine talk about how God meets us in the slow work of healing, and how obedience can coexist with pain. This episode isn’t about having it all figured out, it’s about freedom, surrender, and the quiet power of bringing things into the light, and what a weight that can be lifted when you are able to set free from trauma, find healing, and bring glory to God through healing. If you’ve ever wrestled with forgiveness, carried something longer than you thought you could, or wondered if healing is still possible after all this time, then this episode is for you.

    Not Perfect, Just Present

The Christmas season is meant to be joyful—but for many of us, it comes with quiet pressure. Pressure to be cheerful, generous, put-together, faithful, and strong. Pressure to show up well for family, church, and community, even when our hearts feel tired or heavy. In this episode, Kimber and Catherine explore the often-unspoken expectations that surround Christmas through a Christian lens. We talk about performance versus presence, the spiritual weight of “doing Christmas right,” and how Jesus meets us not in perfection, but in humility, rest, and truth. Together, we’ll reflect on what it really means to show up as we are—imperfect, honest, and deeply loved—during a season that points us back to Emmanuel, God with us. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by the need to hold it all together at Christmas, this conversation is for you.
