Experiencing life as a 40+ entrepreneur, SINGLE mom, Christian and a little awkward. Sharing my insights on all the things that I do and experience. In hopes to reach some of you and have you all be part of the journey!
Recently, two very different statements made the rounds online. One claimed that if a woman is in her 30s without a husband or children, something must be wrong with her. Another argued that a single mother is “damaged goods.” Hearing both of those opinions within the same week raises an obvious question. If women are criticized no matter which path they take, whose standards are we actually trying to live by?

What My DNA Remembers
Inspired by a moment in Sinners where music became a fusion of race, culture, and generation, this conversation reflects on ancestry, identity, and what it means to come from a people whose history was disrupted, fragmented, and forcibly rewritten. For many in the Caribbean and across the Black diaspora, lineage is not something easily traced by names, tribes, or villages. It must be pieced together through records, DNA results, intuition, and reflection.

When Support Ends Too Soon
We often celebrate independence without questioning how early it’s forced or what it costs.
This episode isn’t about romantic breakups, but it does explore one of the earliest separations many of us experience, when support is withdrawn before we’re truly ready to stand on our own.

What Happens When Home Stops Feeling Safe
We talk a lot about heartbreak, abandonment, and unhealthy relationships, but we rarely talk about where those wounds actually begin.
In this episode, we’re not talking about dating at first glance. We’re talking about home.

I’m With You This Christmas!
Christmas is not about fixing anything or forcing cheer. It is about sitting together in whatever this season is bringing up for you. The noise, the quiet, the memories, the grief, the gratitude, and the unanswered prayers that still live in your chest.
In this episode, I talk about what it feels like when Christmas Eve is loud and overwhelming, when it is quiet and lonely, and when old memories surface in ways you did not expect. I reflect on what this year may have taken from us, what it gave instead, and how growth sometimes looks more like survival than celebration.
