A Little Independent is a movie podcast hosted by two lifelong movie-lovers sharing their love of independent, obscure, or just plain weird movies. Hosts Ryan Buck and Todd Burnaska are long-time friends and film fanatics who have been on their respective missions to find and share with one another movies that don’t get all the attention…or the CGI. And some that might just be a little too strange to exist even at all. Alas, Todd and Ryan have been discovering and discussing these types of movies for years and now they are thrilled to share the experience with you. Yeah, it may get weird...But you might also make a new friend.
Good day, fellow travelers. We here at A Little Independent are always trying to feel the best we can feel. Honestly, after the depiction of podcasters in this film – we are teetering on some self-doubt. But alas, what an amazing film to discuss! Let’s all be the best Walrus’ we can be! Golly, we do love all the performances in this movie and PLEASE do not let the “supposedly” fictional accounts in this film sway your love for the better country, let’s face it…Canada. Also in this episode, Todd discusses his most memorable camping disaster; We spend way too much time arguing who has the better lazy-eye control, Johnny Depp or Christian Bale; Ryan goes off an yet another tangent on his hatred for the Paddington films; We both figure out that the Bearded Border guard is right, the United States did make sadness; We discuss whether or not we would turn down Oprah (we would decidedly NOT turn down Kevin Smith); we do the Strange Brew jingle a whole lot; And Todd reminisces about being the last member of the Member’s Only club. We love you – and we promise we’d never turn you into a walrus. Safety Not Guaranteed
Friends, we here at A Little Independent podcast have a confession to make. Want to take a guess? OK, we’ll wait…. You’re right: WE LOVE MARK DUPLASS. There we said it. We love all things Duplass – brothers, production; Hell, if they made socks, we’d wear them. Here are other things that are amazing: Jake Johnson. Aubrey Plaza. All variables in today’s movie. A movie that makes soup, jean jackets, magazines and time travel cool again. In today’s episode, we discuss a movie that honestly does have us looking over our shoulder’s a tad. We talk about the inevitability of buffets; Ryan discusses a few of his numerous encounters with law enforcement; we lament the fact that no one seems to be named Rod anymore; Todd goes hard on genre haters; Ryan shares why he will not share soup with anyone, ever; Todd shows off several of “his moves”; Ryan asks Jeff Garlin to take over fatherly duties and we rant over what would be the optimal way to travel through time: Nude or clothed. Thank you so much for listening to our show and if you have ever seriously impersonated a cop or have a false ear, get at us baby alittleindependentpodcast@gmail.com (mailto:alittleindependentpodcast@gmail.com) #waitwait #arewerolling #montedoroforever #thelunchroom #nipplesout #takethetrip #moves #ladydarious #victoryrecords #peachfuzz

Never Too Young To Die
Hello friends. We here at A Little Independent podcast just want to say. Soapdish is an extraordinary movie. Now that business is out of the way, we can get to the heart of the matter, of the matter. What are some of the things you are never too young for? Here, for certain you are never too young for a sweet Stamos/Vanity pairing, in what should have been a Bond-origin film. Featuring Gene Simmons best performance that is not in Runaway, this film invents the Apple Watch and Todd watched the edited version! What a ride we will be on. In this episode, we discuss the undeniability of Paul Reuben’s earlier dramatic work; Ryan obsesses on what RAM-K is; Todd gives Ryan “The Finger”; We discuss in nauseating detail what we miss about 80’s digital watches; We rank our best apocalyptic nightclubs from movies, we sing the Stargrove theme song quite a few times and we hope sincerely Cliff gets the psychological help he needs. Thank you for listening to our little podcast and let us know if you’d like to see this and a Gymkata crossover.
