Navigating Motherhood, Mindset, and Mental Load. A candid podcast that explores the day-to-day experiences of motherhood, examines how to become aware of and shift your mindset, and provides practical advice for lightening the mental load of mothers.
In this episode, I’m talking about something I’ve been noticing more and more lately...how incredibly inspiring the people around us can be when we actually slow down enough to notice it.
Starting school with my firstborn has opened up this whole new world of people, friendships, connection and energy. And recently I realised I had been clocking all of these little inspiration bubbles without really connecting them together
When I started intentionally looking for what inspires me about the people around me, suddenly I could see it everywhere.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- How to intentionally notice the people in your life who inspire you
- What to look for beyond the obvious achievements and big life goals
- Why you don’t need to action everything that inspires you for it to still add something to your life
- How changing the filter you’re looking through can help you notice more energy, uniqueness and inspiration in your everyday life
This episode is your reminder to look around you.
You might be surprised by just how much inspiration is already sitting right in front of you.

EP 163 | How to supercharge your communication
In this episode, I’m talking about one of the most powerful tools we have when it comes to lightening our mental load and deepening our relationships...communication.
Recently, I completely ignored some of the things I already know about how Jarrad and I communicate best and tried to have a big, emotional conversation while we were both tired and lying in bed. Unsurprisingly, it didn’t quite land the way I wanted it to.
It reminded me just how important it is to understand your own communication landscape and the communication hurdles that can show up between you and the people in your support team.
Because good communication isn’t just about what you say. It’s also about when you say it, how you say it, what the other person might be bringing into the conversation and how you can set both of you up to actually hear each other.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- What a communication landscape is and why understanding yours can completely change a conversation
- How to recognise the communication hurdles that regularly show up between you and your support team
- Why timing, environment and emotional state matter when you’re having important conversations
- How naming the elephant in the room upfront can help reduce defensiveness and misunderstanding
- How understanding the person you’re communicating with can help you feel more heard, supported and connected
The more you understand how you and the people closest to you communicate best, the easier it becomes to have the conversations that matter without adding even more frustration, emotion and mental load to the mix.

EP 162 | The Lost Love Letter
In this episode, I’m talking about something that started with a completely random song title and turned into such a powerful practice for me...writing myself a love letter.
I spend so much time telling the people in my life why I love them, why I’m proud of them and all the wonderful things I see in them. But I realised I wasn’t always giving myself that same love, encouragement and acknowledgement.
And while it might feel a little cringey or uncomfortable at first, this simple practice has completely shifted the way I speak to myself and how much I rely on validation from the world around me.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- Why your inner talk can slowly become more judgy and less supportive without you even noticing
- How writing yourself a love letter can help you reconnect with kindness, compassion and appreciation for yourself
- Why it can feel easier to shower everyone else with love than to give that same love to yourself
- How to move through the discomfort of saying wonderful things about yourself
- Why creating that validation internally can change how much you seek it externally
You can be the person who reminds yourself, over and over again, why you are proud of who you are, why you love the way you show up in this world and why you deserve to feel really great about yourself.
