EP 13: The Whelan Foundation
<p>Today we are speaking with Debi Whelan, President, and Founder of The Whelan Foundation. Debi and her husband Lawrence Whelan started the foundation in 2008 after selling their company Whelan International to provide funding and support to not-for-profit organizations across Long Island. They offer a scholarship program for college students studying special education and have further expanded their mission to help students with disabilities dramatically improve the level of educational success. </p> <p>Debi is carrying on the foundation’s mission in tribute to her husband after his passing. <p>Today we welcome Allison and Chris Mitchell of Pink Aid, a 501c3 charity that helps women in need battle breast cancer with dignity and compassion.
