Welcome to A Resilient Mindset, where we explore how mindset shapes our ability to overcome challenges and thrive. Drawing from theories in early education, psychology, and human development, I’ll share insights from both science and personal experiences. Each episode offers practical tools to help you cultivate a resilient mindset, navigate adversity, and take action toward lasting change. Join me as we unlock the power of resilience and apply it to everyday life.
Navigating Feedback with Resilience and Discernment
What if the feedback you’re taking personally isn’t actually yours to carry?
Feedback can be uncomfortable, especially when we care about being liked, accepted, and seen as “good” by the people around us. But being open to feedback doesn’t mean giving everyone’s opinion equal weight.
In this episode, we’re talking about how to receive feedback without becoming defensive, how to look honestly at the parts that can help us grow, and how to recognize when someone’s “feedback” is really just their opinion, insecurity, or expectation that you should change to make them more comfortable.
We’ll talk about the questions worth asking before you take someone’s advice to heart: Do I admire this person? Are they successful in the area they’re advising me on? Are they living the kind of life or leading in the way I aspire to?
Because growth requires humility, but it also requires discernment.

Being Busy, Isn't the Same as Living
What if the way you’re spending your time is quietly shaping the life you’re living?
We’re all busy. We work, take care of everyone else, check the boxes, and tell ourselves we’ll make time for the things that actually fill us up… later. And then there’s scrolling on social media… our favorite way to “decompress” that can somehow turn into an hour without us even realizing it.
In this episode, we’re taking a real look at where our time goes. Discussing what we’ve been conditioned to believe about productivity and what success should look like. We are also going to touch on why making room for creativity, curiosity, and rest, can make us feel alive and how it’s essential to a life that actually feels like our own.
Because being busy isn’t the same as living.
And you don’t necessarily need more time, you may just need to become more intentional with the time you already have.
Your life is happening right now. The question is: are you actually in it?

The Strength of Saying “I’m Not Okay”
What if saying “I’m not okay” isn’t a sign of weakness but one of the strongest things you can do?
We’re so good at pushing through, keeping it together, and telling everyone, “I’m fine,” even when we’re not. Constantly pretending we’re okay doesn’t make us stronger, it can keep us stuck, disconnected, and exhausted.
In this episode, we’re talking about the strength it takes to be honest about where you really are. Because resilience isn’t about never struggling. It’s about being willing to acknowledge what’s hard, give yourself permission to feel it, and then decide what it is you need, before taking action.
If you’ve been holding it together for everyone else, this episode is your reminder: you don’t have to be okay all the time to be strong. Sometimes, strength looks like being honest enough to say, “I’m not okay,” and giving yourself permission to start there.

Why Your Comfort Zone Isn’t Actually Safe
Fear is wired into your brain, but so is your ability to grow. In this episode, we break down the science behind why fear feels so strong and how UCLA research shows we can actually calm the amygdala and take back control. We’ll also look at what psychology teaches us about breaking those old avoidance patterns so you can stop holding yourself back.
Most importantly, we talk about how to take action even when you’re scared, and how small, intentional steps outside your comfort zone can build confidence, courage, and a mindset that supports the life you actually want.
If you’re ready to stretch, grow, and choose yourself in a bigger way… this episode is for you.
