Everyday Mission | Part 3: Proclamation — When Love Speaks

This week, we conclude our Everyday Mission series by examining the final step in living missionally: proclamation.

Over the past two weeks, we've seen that prayer aligns our hearts with God's heart and pursuing people aligns our lives with God's mission. But eventually, love has to speak.

In Romans 10, Paul reminds us that faith is both inward and outward. We believe with our hearts and confess with our mouths. Our lives should reflect Christ, but our words explain the hope behind our lives.

In this sermon, we explore:

Why the Christian witness requires both our lives and our lips.

What the gospel actually is.

Why we don't have to fear sharing our faith.

How the Holy Spirit equips ordinary people to proclaim extraordinary news.

What success in evangelism really looks like.

Success in evangelism is obedience to the Holy Spirit and leaving the results up to Him.

Scripture:

Romans 10:9–17

Matthew 28:18–20

1 Peter 3:15

Revelation 12:11

Preached on July 5, 2026, at The Table Church in St. Augustine, Florida.

Everyday Mission: Pursue

Everyday Mission: Pursue (June 21, 2026)

What if one of the most important evangelistic tools God has given you is your presence?

In this sermon, we explore how God's mission has always moved through presence. The Father sent the Son. The Son entered our world and dwelt among us. Now Jesus sends his Church into the world in the same way.

As followers of Jesus, we are called to live among people as Jesus did, building relationships, showing hospitality, and faithfully carrying Christ's presence into our everyday lives. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we join God in the work he is already doing around us.

Prayer aligns our hearts with God's mission. Pursuing people aligns our lives with God's mission.

Scripture: John 1:1–14; John 20:21–22
Preached June 21, 2026

See. Care. Pray.

On June 14, 2026, at The Table Church, Gabriel Roman preached from Matthew 9:35–38.

As Jesus looked upon the crowds, he was moved with compassion because they were "harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd." Before Jesus sends his disciples into the harvest field, he first calls them to prayer.

This sermon explores how evangelism begins not with strategies or conversations, but with seeing people as Jesus sees them, caring for them with his compassion, and faithfully praying for them. As followers of Christ, we are invited to participate in God's mission by becoming workers in his harvest.
