御聖体の祝日

今日の黙想は、エマオへ向かう弟子たちの旅のように、戸惑いの中から始まります。けれども、主はその道の途中に、すでに歩み寄っておられるのです。見えなくても、わからなくても、主は共に歩いてくださる。 今日の第一朗読では、神がエジプトの頑なさのただ中に御手を伸ばされる姿が語られます。出エジプトの出来事は、単なる昔話ではありません。人間が自分の力で世界を支配できると思い込んだとき、その傲慢さがどれほど重いものになるかを、私たちに思い起こさせます。けれども同時に、神は民の叫びを見捨てない方だということも、そこに示されているのです。 詩編147編は、その神を讃えます。主はエルサレムを建て上げ、打ち砕かれた心を癒し、天の雲をまとい、御言葉を地に送ってくださる。しかも主は、私たちに最良の小麦を与え、平和を置いてくださる方です。飢えと渇きのただ中で、私たちが本当に必要としているものを、神はちゃんと知っておられるのですね。そして使徒パウロは、コリントの教会に向けて、こう語ります。私たちが祝福の杯を祝福するとき、それはキリストの血にあずかること、裂かれたパンをいただくとき、それはキリストの体にあずかることだ、と。ひとつのパンを分かち合うことで、私たちは多くいても、ひとつの体になる。ここに、教会のいちばん深い神秘があります。 ヨハネ福音書では、主イエスがはっきりと言われます。『わたしは、天から降ってきた生けるパンである。』そして『わたしの肉を食べ、わたしの血を飲む者は永遠の命を得る』と。少し厳しく聞こえるかもしれません。けれども、これは脅しではなく、招きです。主は、ご自身を惜しまず与え尽くして、私たちに命をお与えになるのです。

Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ

Today we celebrate the Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ, and the Church places before us a beautiful movement of faith: God rescues, God nourishes, God unites. The readings remind us that the Lord does not remain distant; He feeds His people, He blesses the cup, He gives Himself as living bread. And that is not poetry alone. It is the heart of Christianity. Jesus does not simply teach us a doctrine about love; He gives us His very self as food for the journey. Look at John 6:51-58. Jesus says, 'I am the living bread that came down from heaven.' He does not say, 'I will point you to bread,' or 'I will teach you about bread.' He says, 'I am.' This is the mystery of presence. The Gospel is not only an invitation to admire Jesus from a distance; it is an invitation to receive Him, to remain in Him, and to let His life flow into ours. [pause] When we come to the Eucharist, we come to the love that has chosen to stay. From a theological point of view, the Eucharist reveals three things at once. First, God is self-giving: He gives His Body and Blood, not as a symbol of absence, but as sacrament of nearness. Second, salvation is communion: 'The one who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.' Third, the Christian life is meant to become Eucharistic itself—thankful, broken for others, and offered in love. So the Mass is not only something we attend; it is a way of becoming.

Minggu Hari Raya Tubuh dan Darah Kristus

Pada Minggu Tubuh dan Darah Kristus ini, Gereja menuntun kita bukan hanya untuk mengingat Yesus, tetapi untuk mengalami bahwa Ia sungguh hadir, sungguh memberi diri, dan sungguh menjadi hidup kita. Marilah kita mulai dengan doa pembukaan: Tuhan Yesus Kristus, Sang Roti Kehidupan. Kami datang ke hadirat-Mu dengan kesadaran akan kelemahan dan rasa lapar jiwa kami. Terangilah akal budi kami dan singkirkanlah segala keraguan kami yang sering tertipu oleh panca indera pada hari ini. Persiapkanlah batin kami melalui Sabda-Mu, agar di akhir permenungan ini, kami sungguh siap merobohkan keangkuhan kami dan menyerahkan seluruh hidup kami untuk menyatu secara penuh dengan Daging dan Darah-Mu yang kudus. Amin. Injil Harian Tahun A ini kita terima sebagai fondasi. Sabda Tuhan bukan hiasan rohani, bukan pelengkap kegiatan, melainkan tanah tempat kita berpijak. Kalau fondasinya goyah, seluruh bangunan batin mudah retak. Maka sebelum bicara banyak hal, kita perlu bertanya: sudahkah hati saya sungguh siap mendengar Tuhan? Bacaan dari Kitab Ulangan mengingatkan umat bahwa Tuhan membiarkan mereka lapar di padang gurun, lalu memberi manna, supaya mereka belajar bahwa manusia hidup bukan dari roti saja, tetapi dari setiap sabda yang keluar dari mulut Allah. Ada pendidikan iman di sana. Tuhan tidak sekadar mengisi perut; Ia membentuk hati agar tidak sombong ketika kenyang dan tidak putus asa ketika kekurangan. Dan perhatikan juga akhir dari bacaan itu: ketika umat tiba di tanah yang baik, di tanah yang penuh sungai, gandum, anggur, dan minyak, mereka dipanggil untuk tidak melupakan Tuhan. Saudara-saudari, kelimpahan justru sering lebih berbahaya daripada kekurangan, karena dalam kelimpahan kita mudah lupa sumber berkat. Maka Ekaristi hari ini seperti alarm kasih: jangan pernah lupakan Allah yang memberi hidup. Mazmur tanggapan lalu bernyanyi tentang Tuhan yang menguatkan pintu gerbang, memberkati anak-anak, memberi damai, dan mencukupkan kita dengan gandum terbaik. Jadi Allah itu bukan hanya Allah yang meminta, tetapi Allah yang memberi. Ia mengetahui kebutuhan kita bahkan sebelum kita mampu merangkainya dalam kata. Ia mengenal lapar tubuh kita, tetapi juga lapar jiwa kita. Di sini saya ingin membuka Jendela Ignasian. Santo Ignatius Loyola mengajarkan kita discernment, pembedaan roh, supaya kita tahu mana yang benar-benar berasal dari Tuhan dan mana yang cuma memanjakan ego. Dalam hidup modern, banyak suara berkata: kejar ini, simpan itu, lindungi citra, amankan diri. Tetapi Kristus mengajak kita menata afeksi, melepaskan lekatan tak teratur, dan memilih yang lebih besar demi kemuliaan Allah. Maka pertanyaan Ignasian hari ini sangat sederhana: apa yang selama ini saya gigit seperti roti, padahal tidak mengenyangkan? Apakah pujian manusia? Apakah kenyamanan? Apakah rasa aman palsu? Kalau saya jujur, sering kali hati kita kenyang oleh hal yang salah. Ekaristi datang untuk memurnikan selera batin kita, supaya yang paling kita rindukan adalah Tuhan sendiri. Lalu Rasul Paulus berkata bahwa roti yang kita pecah-pecahkan adalah persekutuan dengan Tubuh Kristus, dan karena itu kita yang banyak menjadi satu tubuh. Ini sangat kuat, saudara-saudari. Komuni bukan pengalaman privat. Komuni membuat kita saling terhubung, saling menanggung, saling memaafkan, dan saling melengkapi. Kalau saya menerima Kristus tetapi masih memelihara permusuhan, berarti saya belum sungguh masuk ke dalam logika roti yang satu. Di sini Jendela Fransiskan menegur dan meneguhkan kita. Santo Fransiskus Asisi memandang dunia sebagai rumah bersama, dan semua makhluk sebagai saudara. Kalau Kristus rela memecah-bagikan tubuh-Nya, maka kita pun dipanggil memecah-bagikan hidup, waktu, perhatian, dan harta kita. Ekaristi harus melahirkan kesederhanaan, persaudaraan, dan pertobatan ekologis: menghormati bumi, menghormati orang kecil, dan tidak hidup serakah.
