Annoyed and Unworthy. These are just a couple of words used to describe how Christian’s make some people feel. Personally, I can relate, because not only have I experienced this from other fellow Christians, but more importantly I have used these words to describe how I feel about myself. In “A Tried Woman of God”, I invite you to walk with me or watch me from the side line as I share with you the highlights, the high-lows and the Hell no’s of my walk with God. I am here for the hard conversations, goofy bible interpretations and sharing stories about falling into temptation.
Love,
Destiny
What if Genesis 15 is more than a promise to Abraham? Destiny sees a startling picture of grace in the covenant ritual, and it leaves her in tears. If you’ve ever read a Bible passage and wondered what the details mean, this conversation will make you want to look again.
With humor, honesty, and a “let’s figure this out together” approach, Destiny revisits Abraham’s question: How will he know God’s promise is real when he has no heir? She unpacks the unusual scene that follows - animals divided in two, Abraham keeping vultures away, and a smoking oven and burning torch passing between the pieces.
Destiny connects that ancient covenant practice to the chapter’s deeper meaning: Abraham doesn’t walk the path; God does. From there, she traces the symbolism forward to the sacrifices described later in Scripture and to Jesus as the one who bears the weight of humanity’s failure. It’s a personal reading, not a theology lecture, but the connection she finds changes how she sees the whole passage.
This episode is for anyone who wants to read the Bible with more curiosity and context, especially if familiar stories have started to feel like “cool words” without the meaning behind them. Genesis 15 may be an old story, but its promise still has something powerful to say about faith, failure, and a God who takes the burden on himself.

Why Him...?
What if the enemy is working overtime to keep you from Jesus? While still recognizing his authority? For anyone questioning why they follow God. This raw return to A Tried Woman of God offers a deep personal answer: surrender is not weakness comma and faith is not a game.
After a year of tears, transformation and spiritual lessons destiny shares how prioritizing prayer and learning to sit quietly with the lord has changed her relationship with god. Her journey leads to a striking question: What does it really mean to have a reason for your faith? Especially when explaining that faith to someone who does not believe.
