Today’s Amazing guest on Ability Beast Talk Mark Hemry! First guest of 2024! Mark Hemry has lived a life full of inspiration, positivity, and resilience. He faces adversity and obstacles daily with a glass-half-full mentality, always moving forward no matter what. As an autistic individual, Mark remains optimistic and believes in himself, largely thanks to his great support system. One of his biggest supporters throughout his life was his mother, Kathleen, who sadly passed away in 2020. This podcast interview with Mark is dedicated to her and the extraordinary life she led. Kathleen was born in Colton, California, and grew up mainly in Riverside. She graduated from Riverside Poly High in 1948 and married Alfred Albertus Hemry in 1951. During Alfred's service in the U.S. Air Force, the couple lived in various regions across the United States. They later settled in Denver, Colorado, as civilians, and returned to Southern California in 1959. Moving to Whittier, they focused on raising their only son, Mark. In 1978, Kathy began working for Rio Hondo Community College as a secretary for psychologist Robert Itatani, Ph.D., until her retirement in 1993. Post-retirement, she returned to the Inland Empire area, residing in Riverside, Yucaipa, and Loma Linda. Kathy had a lifelong interest in autism causes and actively participated in numerous early autism organizations. Later in life, she served on the Parent Steering Committee and the Board of Trustees at the Inland Regional Center for the Developmentally Disabled in San Bernardino. Without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, it's my pleasure to introduce today's wonderful guest on Ability Beast Talk—Mark Hemry!

On today’s episode of Ability Beast Talk I am so happy, thankful and truly blessed to announce that Allan Houston (one of my favorite all-time New York Knicks players) is coming on Ability Beast Talk this A BIG thanks to Allan for to coming on the show! I want to thank Allan and his wonderful team for taking the time out of his busy schedule to come on Ability Beast Talk I’m very grateful and very thankful it was amazing podcast! We talked about faith overcoming life struggles with grace and love we talked about scripture we talked about being in the world not of the world. It was an amazing conversation and I’m so blessed for this wonderful Beautiful conversation that I had with Allan This please check out this amazing episode of Ability Beast Talk with Allan Houston and Host Wayed Kabir I first met Allan nearly so many years ago and am so overwhelmed with joy! Ever since I was eight years old I've been a fan of the New York Knicks and having cerebral palsy, I remember watching every season with my older brother Parwez; feeling like I was a part of the Knicks organization! The whole organization, especially Allan and all the great Knicks from the 90s and early 2000s really inspired me to shoot for my dreams and to believe in my dreams, which is why I went on to get my Bachelors Degree in business and my Masters Degree as well. I never let cerebral palsy stop me or define me. I’ve always believed in myself even though the road hasn’t been easy, always being the underdog (born 2lbs 3oz) is why I’ve been a fighter just like the Knicks organization–never giving up–just like Allan Houston–delivering amazing performances after amazing performances over his illustrious career. Showing the world he can make it in New York just like I have made it in life and showing the world what New York Tough is all about! I’ve always considered myself a part of the New York Knicks and always wanted to work for the New York Knicks organization. Now having Allan Houston on Ability Beast Talk is such a blessing because I feel like I’m more connected to the organization that I love so much. The Kinicks have inspired me so much throughout my life to be the best I can be. I feel like I’m more connected to this amazing organization than ever!
