Next-Gen EMSO: Integrating 5G into Military Systems- Part 2
This is part 2 of our conversation with Bryan Clark. In this episode we get into next-gen EMSO and integrating 5G into military systems. If you missed part 1 have a listen here.
The electromagnetic spectrum is getting more challenging as more people — civilian and military — begin to operate in it. In the spectrum, managing conflicting use cases is difficult. One of the most significant conflicting cases today? Fifth generation, or 5G, technology.
According to today’s guest, Bryan Clark (https://www.linkedin.com/in/bryan-clark-5a033233/), Senior Fellow at Hudson Institute (https://www.hudson.org/), there are two options when it comes to 5G. Either it needs to be de-conflicted by the US military forces or the government needs to shift its mindset to embrace 5G for its many opportunities and applications in the EMSO environment.
Join us as we discuss:
The role of 5G in potentially revolutionizing US military operations
Tangible, specific military use cases and the importance of careful infrastructure integration
Golden Horde concept, vehicle-to-vehicle communication, non-terrestrial networks, the metaverse and beyond
