"I've never seen a happy runner, just saying"
We met Victor Omondi a while back at a recruitment fayre for school leavers; we invited him round to The Safe (https://www.absafe.org.uk/schools/) with the intention of working together and maybe gaining some young volunteers but he played an Uno reverse on us and we ended up volunteering for him!
And we are delighted we did.
We delivered 4 weeks of rugby training to children from Dyce Primary and we had an absolute BLAST! In return Victor agreed to jump on one of our podcasts- so here we are.
Join us for a chat with Victor about sport, mental wellbeing and breaking barriers.
If you'd like to volunteer for Victor you can get him at vomondi@sportaberdeen.co.uk (mailto:vomondi@sportaberdeen.co.uk) or reach out via LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/search/results/all/?heroEntityKey=urn%3Ali%3Afsd_profile%3AACoAAAtb4-EBUN0MauQNYR3eU3C-kfCFfpBdFsk&keywords=victor%20omondi&origin=RICH_QUERY_SUGGESTION&position=0&searchId=698d7054-66a7-4f50-a7af-26db8b1a8c79&sid=Uip).
And if youd like to join us at The Safe- give us an email too hello@absafe.org.uk (mailto:hello@absafe.org.uk)

Do you know what a radish is?
Do you know what a radish is?
Would you be shocked if someone didn't know what a radish was?
In life we have LOADS of assumptions about what people know- we assume young people know all about social media, they don't!
We assume everyone knows about road safety, they don't!
We assume people know the things we know, they don't!
Join us for a chat about assumptions and how this leads to preventable and avoidable incidents.
