29. Searching for Truth: Part 2, Amazing Grace & Love Covers a Multitude of Sins
Welcome back, listeners! We are glad to have you part of our new series Searching for Truth. We are never done searching for the fullness of the goodness of God, but when we encounter Perfect Love our limited beliefs is put to the test and proves limited.
Laura & Tara share another phenomenal two-part conversation with a beautiful woman named, Sue Christie. Part 2 picks back up with more sin and evil within the darkness of her lies. Yet, the Perfect Love of God and relentlessness of Jesus is way more powerful and transformational than any sin that tries to separate. So excited for you to hear how her script got flipped!
Sue has spent decades vulnerably sharing her testimony to reach as many people as possible so they, too, can be introduced to God’s goodness and justice; especially the deeply broken and poor. She is called, “Lover of His soul” and her desire is to impart that onto others, setting them free to live the abundant life Jesus came to give us all.

The Wheel of Fear: Laura’s up again and shares how a kingdom-minded YES is different than a worldly YES. She wanted to push through her limited belief that it’s better to do things on her own rather than receiving from others to help. She reflects on saying YES to the $8,000 father-daughter Napal mission’s trip even though money was tight because she just left her lucrative job in sales. The supernatural knowing was greater than the natural measures of their savings account. With full trust in God: they hesitantly sent out letters of request, held fundraisers, and spoke at church. Which fully funded not only their family, but all six families!
Kingdom mindset always beats the patterns of this world. Way to go Fonsecas!

28. Searching for Truth: Part 1, Truth Eclipsed by Abuse, Lies and Predators
Welcome back, listeners! We are glad to have you part of our new series Searching for Truth. We are never done searching for the fullness of the goodness of God, but when we encounter Perfect Love our truth gets put to the test and is proved limited.
Laura & Tara share another phenomenal two-part conversation with a beautiful woman named, Sue Christie. This first episode sets the stage for how the truth of the Kingdom of God as well as the facts of this broken world compete for our lives. I often say, ‘It’s a game of tug of war and we are not holding the rope.’ There is a spiritual battle for our eternal lives as well as the abundant life with Jesus right now.

The Wheel of Fear: Tara’s back in the hot seat this week. She reports how it went to blow the dust off her book proposal for potential literary agents. She completed her manuscript a year ago and began writing the book proposal as well, but hasn’t worked on it since. Tara is eager to get this story of her 2008 home invasion into the hands of readers, yet not through self-publishing route (which means she could have had it published last summer through Amazon). She feels God’s leading to use professionals from a publishing company to help share this beautiful story of redemption.

27. Searching for Truth: Part 2, Surrender and Restoration After Leaving New Age Practices

Laura & Tara share part two of their time with Meisha ––an acquaintance of Tara’s from high school–– as we hold space for processing all the new thoughts and feelings she has after being met with such script flippin’ Truth.
We pray that Meisha still feels relieved of the guilt and shame she felt as she reflected upon practicing and teaching others within the New Age Movement.

The Wheel of Fear:. Once again, Laura’s loss was a win for the kingdom of God! It’s interesting how simple acts of love for our neighbor can bring up all the reasons why not to follow through. Yet Laura’s loving nature and good intentions won again! She pushed through the lies she was believing and contacted the Title 1 school she volunteers at to help make the 5th grade graduation memorable.
