The faculty behind the academic journal Academicasaurus really just want to get the next issue out. If only they'd stop getting bizarre submissions shoved under their doors... and who exactly is recording all this, anyway?
Academicasaurus is a fictional podcast written and produced by Mary O'Reilly. It stars Maryna Matlock as Ida Winters, Amanda Funk-Hilton as Bee West, and Mary O'Reilly as Anne Dye. New episodes are posted every other week.
Zoic Episode One - The Traveler's Information Station
Welcome to Hawley Heights, home of the world's friendliest (?) taxidermy, and former home (thanks to The Incident) of the Haunted Taxidermy Trail! Meet Robin, your late night tour guide, as she begins her moderately illegal radio journey in this weird, frequently power-outaged little town.
--------------------------------------
Starring Amanda Funk-Hilton as Robin, Noah Moran as Hammer Mike, Barb Podbielski as Maple Cope, Michele Metych as Ruth Rutherford, Cindy Burke as Jonah, and Maryna Matlock as Lotte.
This episode was written and produced by Mary O'Reilly. Music in this episode is from Mary and also from an unmarked cassette tape left in the tape deck.
This is the only full episode we're going to post under Academicasaurus, so if you've enjoyed this first episode, please subscribe on iTunes to the official podcast page - search for Zoic! You can also find us on YouTube and Instagram under Zoic Podcast.

Introducing: Zoic! A new Podcast!
Hawley Heights, once semi-famous for its Haunted Taxidermy Trail (until the incident, anyway) is not the place where anyone dreams of returning. But when Robin finds herself back in her hometown (and running a moderately illegal and largely pointless radio tourism show), strange things begin to happen. Power outages. Odd sounds over the radio waves. New/old bones that really shouldn't be in these woods. Plus - why is there a creepy sculpted T-Rex skull with taxidermied rabbit ears in the hardware store?
Something's going down in Hawley Heights, and it's up to Robin and a group of intrepid, kinda cracked weirdos to figure it out!
*~*~*~*
Zoic is a slightly surreal and certainly strange comedy/horror podcast from the people behind Academicasaurus. It was created by Mary O'Reilly and Amanda Funk Hilton, and is written and produced by Mary. New episodes, during the season, are posted weekly on Mondays.
Season one begins on September 1st, 2025! We'll post the first episode in this feed, but it'll also be in its own dedicated podcast place.

Anniversary Episode - The Conference
In which we realized it's been 5 years since Academicasaurus began and figured we should do a quick episode. Also, academic conferences are really something else.
THANKS FOR STILL BEING HERE! We miss you. Yes - you! Also, we picked a cursèd day to record, so please excuse violent downpours, a frantically panting dog, and...actually, Maryna's end had no problems. How dare she.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Starring Maryna Matlock as Ida Winters, Amanda Funk-Hilton as Bee West, and Mary O'Reilly as Anne Dye. Featuring, finally, Mary's Mom as the conference announcer!
Music in this episode is "Shake It" by Jahzaar. You can find more of his music at betterwithmusic.com.
The podcast will still stay up, and as we said, we are working on a new podcast! It's probably still a ways out, but we'll let you know here or on Instagram when we've got some weirdness coming your way - keep on subscribin'! Also, if you like us, you can buy us a coffee on Ko-Fi! We love coffee. SO MUCH COFFEE!
