About ACAM Dialogues Podcast
The ACAM Dialogues is a series of student-focused dialogues events that began in 2017 and continues today. The Dialogues is hosted annually by student staff members of the Asian Canadian and Asian Migration Studies (ACAM) program. With events and projects ranging from discussion events, symposiums, panels, multimedia productions, and social drop-ins, the Dialogues draws from topics that emerge in student discussions towards collective learning and community-building. So as someone who's worked in ACAM for years, how has this space, the ACAM team and the podcast kind of shaped your undergrad and learning as an English and poli-sci student? I feel like for me, working with ACAM has helped to kind of like localize things in the sense that we do so much community work and even the things that we talk about on the podcast are always related back to, of course, Asian Canadian studies and Asian Canadian stories, but like also to Vancouver or to Canada and to like what is happening at UBC when we do event coverage or when we attend different ACAM events, it feels very like personal.
