About Acknowledge 2 Action

Welcome to the Acknowledge 2 Action podcast. This space is built on the idea, acknowledgment is the starting point, and action is the path forward. The philosophy of Acknowledge 2 Action follows a natural progression, acknowledging, accepting, processing, planning, and taking action. It is a mindset that supports growth, healing, and momentum. Although this podcast was shaped by military life and the lessons learned through service, it reaches far beyond uniforms or duty stations. Acknowledge 2 Action explores the mental, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual (M.E.P.S.S.) aspects of well being. What started as a way to navigate post military transitions has become a practical approach for anyone working through stuck points, personal change, or new chapters in life. Each episode highlights the power and significance of acknowledgment, how it grounds us, provides clarity, and opens the path toward action. The stories and conversations reflect genuine, authentic, pathos driven insight that applies to people from all walks of life. Together we explore the ups, downs, and turning points that shape who we are becoming. The goal is simple, to help you embrace your own journey, build momentum, and move forward stronger, wiser, and ready for the next step.

From Airman to Soldier to CEO…Walk the Floor

In this episode of the Acknowledge 2 Action Podcast, I sit down with John Kerkhoff to explore his journey from the Air Force to the Army and into the business world and how his experiences shaped a leadership philosophy rooted in awareness, accountability, and action. John reflects on navigating change, uncertainty, and growth in real time throughout his military career. Those lessons didn’t end with service, they became the foundation for his work as CEO and founder of Frago 22, a veteran-led consultancy that helps bridge the gap between military experience and business value. At Frago 22, John and his team translate veteran-honed skills into strategies that help organizations strengthen leadership, team dynamics, and operational resilience. This conversation goes beyond titles and roles. We dig into the realities of military transition, the mindset required to thrive in civilian leadership, and why accountability starts with self-reflection. As John says, “Your actions will show well before anything you say.” We also unpack the idea of “walking the floor”, a leadership approach centered on presence, engagement, and genuine connection with teams.
