The Hoosiers | The Wacky Funsters hit back at the NME
The Indie Supergroup interviews their first ever duo for the final guest episode of series one. Irwin Sparkes and Alan (Al) Sharland from indie pop sensations The Hoosiers join us on the couch for possibly the most fun episode so far.
Aside from talk of the World Cup half-time show, Alexa Chung accidentally starting some beef with them, and dishing the dirt on the cool boys not wanting to speak to them, we talk FIFA 2008, superheroes, and not taking yourself too seriously.
Be sure to check out the boys' new album Compassion, the second in the 'C Trilogy', and keep a look out for the final piece of the puzzle coming up!

Milburn | Starting with Arctic Monkeys, Godfathering the Sheffield Sound, Being Too Nice
This episode we tackle the big question of 00s Indie, not "what came first the chicken or the egg?" A more important question, "what came first, Arctic Monkeys or Milburn?"
The band often spurned by NME and journalists of the time as nabbing Alex Turner's sound see it differently. We talk how the Sheffield scene evolved, what do you do when you stop being in a seminal band, how ripping off music in 2026 seems completely allowed, and Grandad's being his new inspiration in life.
Join Joe Carnall, frontman and bass player of Milburn, as he goes through our job interview process to see if he has what it takes to join the supergroup. If you love British Steel or Indie, then this Sheffield bonanza of an episode is for you.
Joe's Musical 'How Could I Forget' is touring in Autumn 2026 https://www.hcifmusical.co.uk/
Episode co-produced by Ralph Agency. Record and edited by Story House Studios. Hosted by Adam Flood and Alexandra Haddow.
Drop us a comment on this ep if you have any suggestions for the supergroup's management, juicy stories or just want to shout us out.

Mystery Jets | Eel Pie Challenge Job Interview
Blaine Harrison is next to attempt to join the indie supergroup - will he have it what it takes? Our toughest and least ethical interview rounds yet - we unleash Eel or Reveal, a game seeing Blaine answer challenging questions or eat slippery gooey eel. Why?! Well he grew up on Eel Pie Island, a part of British music history. His band Mystery Jets formed there and went on to unleash indie anthems such as Two Doors Down and Young Love.We talk Yoko Ono, being in a band with your dad, longevity in indie, Henry VIII and hooking up with fans. A great episode.. Also the first time we get TWO band members to interview at some point. A rollercoaster this one.Be sure to check out Mystery Jets new album A Hole to See the Sky Through, out August 21st.A&A x

Josh Weller | The Music Biz Sceptic
The Bible gave us David vs Goliath, well Instagram has birthed on to us Josh Weller vs The Music Industry, and Josh is our guest this week.
Adam & Alex put Josh through a job interview to see if he has what it takes to earn a place in the Indie Supergroup…but this time will Josh even want it?!
If you’ve ever wondered what happens when you give a 23 year old musician £60k, we’ve got you covered. Plus male camel toes, getting cornered by A&R men, and why Bob Dylan’s sound man was nearly in tears. Put on your oven gloves, cos there’s some scolding hot takes coming your way.
Josh was the ex-frontman of The Kenneths, and was a certified piece of reupholstered furniture of the London Indie scene, playing with artists such as Paloma Fatih.
But now Josh has called bulls*** on the music biz, and jumped ship to the honest haven and utopia of pleasantness which is The Comedy Industry, where there is not a single issue AT ALL!
And yes he may well be a friend of the management, Adam and Alexandra, but nepotism butters no parsnips in this supergroup - (bribes are accepted ).
You’ll recognise Josh for his viral withering sketches where he slags off A&R men and try-hard bands. Josh is a wicked standup comedian, check out his special online.
By the way, last week we were number 17 in the Podcast Charts for Comedy, and number 47 in ALL podcasts. Thanks so much for listening and getting in touch with your kind words - obvs some scorn, but this is the internet. Please leave a comment on the podcast episode, it helps so much, as does a rating and a follow. We’re loving making these, and these little things will help us make more!

Boy Kill Boy | Limewire Battles & Teaching vs Nudes
EP 3, and it's Chris Peck, frontman of Boy Kill Boy. You'll know them for their iconic indie hit s-s-s-s- SUZIE, but you'll remember them for this interview, probably.
We talk the day he knew Limewire had changed the game, the virtues of being a teacher vs getting your bum out for money, vocalist ticks, merchandise prospects, as well as unearthing a terrifying musical fan reply to their music.
As always we put the candidate through the steps to see if he has what it takes to join our indie supergroup.
The band have live dates coming up, but they're SOLD OUT. Maybe they'll do more. Maybe Chris will be too busy if we hire him for our supergroup. At this stage who knows.
After the first two episodes of series one we have had 45,000 downloads, which is UNREAL. Thanks for listening, watching and sharing!
And we want to hear from you! Do you feel like you have a place in our band team, a roadie, a groupie, a merch goblin? The possibilities are almost endless. Comment here or hit us up at our handles @indiesupergroup

The Paddington's | Indie's Wild Man
The next candidate to enter the vigorous interview process to join the supergroup is The Paddington's Tom Atkin. Can two comedians create the next big thing?
With more tattoos than a Yakuza gang member's left arse cheek, Tom is a walk on the wild side of indie. We talk how to get on the NME Cool List, bands who ripped off their sound, corporate deals, accusations of being 'hypordermic thin' by the press, a potential Paddington The Musical/The Paddington's crossover and more. LOAD MORE. A funny episode.
Next Thursday a new episode...who will it be?
Any requests for candidates, indie nightmares or dreams? Then please comment or get in touch with us across socials @indiesupergroup.
Thanks for listening to the episodes - we are having a lot of fun making them. Like, subscribe, tell a mate - all that really helps and as it's a new pod it makes a big difference.

Hard-Fi | Supergroup Job Interview
Does Hard-Fi's Richard Archer have what it takes to join the Supergroup? Adam and Alex put him through the indie bleep test to see he has what it takes to change music forever.
We talk the benefits of using your children to write your next singles, other band's class credentials, how Thorpe Park created Hard-Fi, horny Mick Hucknall and MORE!
This is our first episode, and we're so excited about the indie legends we have lined up for this series.
