353) We’ve Known Each Other for Years. So What?
I’m at the point where I don’t want relationships that only exist because we’ve known each other for years.
I talk about two people we’ve known forever who canceled on us three times in a row without even bothering with a sorry, and how that made me look at the friendship a whole lot harder. There’s no real foundation. No emotional maturity. No closeness underneath all that history.
And I think part of why I’m noticing it so much now is because I’ve changed. I don’t feel avoidantly attached the way I used to. I feel secure. I want relationships with people who show up, communicate, care, and actually know how to have a real connection.
I’m done keeping surface-level relationships around just because they’ve been around a long time.

352) I Accidentally Made Over 100 YouTube Videos
I forgot I had a podcast, which seems like a good place to start.
I’ve been spending a ridonk amount of time on YouTube and now have over 100 videos cuz apparently once I start something, moderation leaves the building.
I’ve also been walking a ton, losing weight, wearing new clothes, and putting many, many miles on my poor little tootsies.
Sparky and I have been checking out new places, which I love right up until my anxiety remembers it has a job.
I’m still going to the chiropractor too. Today was appointment eight. I don’t enjoy going, but annoyingly, it helps.
The cat family is doing good. Phil had his teeth cleaned Monday and is currently on antibiotics, which I’m sure is exactly how he wanted to spend his week.
And most importantly: FALL IS HERE!!!
So basically this is a catch-up episode about where I’ve been, what I’ve been doing, how I forget an entire podcast existed.
